The children took part in a range of exciting activities and there are lots of super photos to share. Activities and their books included:
Miss French’s book was The Gingerbread Man. The children joined in with the repeated refrains ("Run, run, as fast as you can..."). We then made gingerbread men and gobbled them up, just like the sly fox himself!
Mrs Foy shared her favourite book, Harry Potter and The Philosopher's Stone, by J.K. Rowling. We made potions using unicorn tears, dragon's blood and summer snow. We then mixed it all together to see the reaction it would make.
Mrs Cowen’s book was Elmer by David McKee . The children discussed the moral of the story: that everyone is different and that’s what makes us special. The children then took part in a science experiment where they made elephant toothpaste. They used a yeast mixture to make the toothpaste bubble and expand so it billowed out of their bottles.
Mrs Johnson’s book was The Stickman by Julia Donaldson; the children created their own super stickmen.
